Trust Him!

In all things! Really and truly this is what we need to do to experience victorious living in Christ.
J. Packer says it fairly well. "The ultimate reason why God fills our lives with troubles and perplexities of one sort and another - is to ensure that we learn to hold Him fast." He also gives the picture of walking along a clear road feeling great, and someone tries to take our arm to help us out...we don't really need or want that help on that occasion, do we? However, when we are in the dark on a rough country road and a storm is brewing, and we are tired and weary...nice to have someone to thankfully lean on. That is Him, all the time. Just waiting for us to call on Him, He is always there. Trust then, is paramount to our relationship with Him.

Thank You, Jesus that I can trust in You when all else falls around me. Thank You that my heart holds You and that it leaps for You. Thank You that where I am ... You are. You are my life...I love You! I adore You! Your love, Your way is perfect. Thank You that I long for You more and more. Thank You for Your grace. You alone are that One Thing that is needed. Let me fully appropriate the Truth, which is You, Jesus Christ. Let me trust when trusting is the last thing that I think I can do. You are the strength in me, Lord. Let me rest in You and let weariness end. This world has nothing for me. It is You, I treasure. Thank You for this day, it has been a very good day. In Your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Question of the day, #2.

Will you trust God?

Do you know Him....really know Him?

Salvation comes by grace not by anything you do.
Keeping thousands of rules or laws does not save anyone. God sent Jesus to pay the price that our actions never could.

D.L. Moody said, "There is no peace until we see Christ - until we can look back and see the cross of Christ between us and our sins."

I can change no man's heart. God can.

Are you in need of salvation. Of course you are if you don't know the living Christ as your life.
You will never find peace, satisfaction, contentment, purpose without Him.

This prayer will bring you to Him. Then the relationship begins to get real interesting! We all have broken lives ....turn your eyes upon Jesus....He will lead you into all truth because He is Truth.

Dear Lord,
I know that I am a sinner. On my own strength, my life is a mess, and I am not prepared to meet God. I do believe that Jesus died on that cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I want to die there with Him today. I want to be the new creation that Your Word talks about, Lord. I believe that Jesus rose from the dead. I turn from my sin today. I accept Jesus Christ by faith.
Jesus come into my life. Thank You for forgiving my sins. Thank You for Your Indwelling Presence promised to me at this moment. I give You my life. Live through me Lord, live in me Lord and lead me by Your Holy Spirit. Guide me in Your Truth...I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Welcome to the family!!!

His love is without reservations!

Perhaps a look at the question from yesterday.
I have been reading a great book by James MacDonald called "Gripped by the Greatness of God". My paraphrasing of some of his words is included in this blog today.
"If you have been chosen by God......
Somehow, before the world was made, God looked into the future and chose to set His love upon you (if you are struggling with this, you don't quite understand God's sovereignty yet). God did not set His love upon you because you have something going on that someone else doesn't. We are not valuable and loved in ourselves. We are not valuable, we are valued. Big difference...we are loved by God, precious in His sight. His heart will not change toward us. His love will not go away. No matter what is crashing and burning around us, we can rest in the security of a loving God, Who says, 'I am the Lord, I do not change'. Malachi 3:6 NKJV
That is truly love and security in Him."
Now that is a pretty good answer....don't you think?
This quote blew me away, though.
"I must wade out of the shallow waters of self-absorption into the deep waters of praising Him at all times for all things."

It seems to me that God loves us without reservations!

The Nightwatch Blog

My purpose of this blog is to share experiences with like minded individuals who love the Lord and are seeking Him with all their heart. He says in His Word, we will find Him if we seek Him in earnest. I am looking at this as an experience to reach out to you and you to reach in to me as together we reach toward the higher things that He has called us to. May He direct and guide and live in and through us as we experience this wonderful Life of Grace together. I am a night worker, ergo the name of the blog. I have freedom in my job to spend a small amount of time to share thoughts and insights that I have, as He leads and guides. I have not arrived! I am most definitely a work in progress. I know that I have been given every blessing needed to live the "abundant life", but I have not even come close to realizing what He wants for each one of His children. I am prayerful that He will direct the discussion of this blog and that as we share together safely and with His purposes first and foremost in those prayers that He will reveal Himself to us in our thoughts and actions and in our living out the life He calls us to.
