Contrite and broken

Psalm 51:17

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,

A broken and a contrite heart -

These, O God, You will not despise.

Isaiah 57:15

For thus says the High and Lofty One

Who inhabits eternity,

whose name is Holy:

"I dwell in the high and holy place,

With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,

To revive the spirit of the humble,

And to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

James 4:8-10

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Cleanse your hands, you sinners;

and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Lament and mourn and weep!

Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord,

and He will lift you up.

Brokeness is such a great thing. I am at the end of myself and now that I am, God uses me. I prayed daily a while back that God would break me, best thing that ever happened.

Thanks roG....God is everywhere, even in my hypothetical cave...
the study notes say..."Solomon realized that God could not be localized in a temple built by humans, magnificent though it may be..."

We knew that ... :) Speaking of that...any plans for Sunday? :)
